SLEEP SUPPORT

Is your child’s sleep leaving you exhausted and unsure what to try next?

Responsive sleep support for babies & children, including autism, anxiety and sensory needs.

Do Any Of These Sound Familiar?

Are you stuck in a cycle of broken nights, exhausting days and wondering why nothing seems to work?

-Are frequent night wakings leaving the family feeling exhausted?

-Does your child have unique sensory, emotional or developmental needs that make sleep more challenging?

-Are naps, bedtime or overnight sleep feeling unpredictable right now?

-Does your child seem anxious, unsettled and need reassurance around sleep and bedtime?

-Are you feeling unsure about how much sleep your baby needs during the day and night?

If any of these feel familiar, you don’t have to keep trying to figure it out alone.

I support babies and children from 5 months, including neurodivergent children, with responsive, personalised sleep support that looks at WHY sleep may be difficult - not just how to change it.

Not sure what support you need?

Start with a 15 minute chat, tell me a little about what’s happening with your child’s sleep, and we can see if I’m the right person to help.

Find the Root.

Restore Sleep.

Rebuild Confidence.

Hi, I’m Catherine,

A certified infant and child sleep consultant with specialist training in autism, sensory and anxiety-informed sleep support, offering a gentle, connection-based approach to sleep.

With over 25 years experience managing early years settings and supporting families, I bring extensive knowledge of child development, emotional wellbeing and responsive care into every family I support.

I hold a BA Hons in Childhood Studies, qualified in Special Educational Needs and Montessori education, allowing me to create personalised, child-centred sleep support that respects each childs unique needs, temperament and development.

As a mother of two neurodivergent sons, I also bring personal, lived experience to my approach. One of my sons experienced significant sleep and anxiety challenges, which deepened my understanding of how overwhelming and isolating sleep struggles can feel. That journey is what drives my passion to support parents who may feel exhaustion and disrupted sleep have become ‘the norm’.

My Approach

Blends evidence-based sleep guidance and Montessori principles with the understanding formed through my Root to Rest Method of connecting rhythm, environment and trust.

I believe healthy sleep grows from strong foundations and connecting each branch of growth with my understanding of child development, neurodiversity and emotional wellbeing we can create a calmer path to rest that will support the whole family.

Why Families Choose Me?

As a parent myself, I understand the exhaustion and emotions that come with sleepless nights. My advice is shaped by both professional knowledge and real-life experience with my own children.

I work with both neurotypical and neurodivergent children, offering an evidence-based, relationship-led, gradual approach that provides personalised support tailored to each child’s individual needs, development and sensory profile, helping families build strong foundations for restful sleep in a way that feels respectful. realistic and sustainable.

The Root to Rest Method for supporting children's sleep through understanding and connection.

At the heart of my work is the Root to Rest Method - a framework I created to look beyond sleep itself and understand the foundations that may be influencing it.

The four branches guide what we explore, while my SLEEP approach sits at the heart of how I support each family - keeping your child, their unique needs and your family at the centre throughout.

There is no one-size-fits-all route to better sleep. Support is personalised around your child’s emotional, sensory and developmental needs, while nurturing connection, independence and family wellbeing.

What Our Families Say..

  • Jody, Southampton

I had a good, long chat with Nurture Owls about my son who is only just 4. I felt quite alone at the time, with very few people understanding some of the behaviours I see at home. He is very tired late afternoon but struggles to get to sleep if he has a nap. We talked about lots of different tactics for behaviour and quiet time. Its been hugely helpful! Just having someone to discuss it with initially took a weight off my shoulders. But since I’ve implemented a few things thats had an improvement too! Thankyou 💓

  • Heather, Bolton

I contacted Catherine at The Nurture Owl Support, who I must say was extremely professional and helpful. I have been struggling with bedtimes and night waking for a while. My child is autistic and finds it hard to switch off and settle at night and as soon as he heard the word ‘bedtime’ it became such a stressful time before we even made it up the stairs. The advice and guidance has been amazing and Catherine looked at so many things that we hadnt even thought of! My son is now less stressed at bedtime and sleeps longer most nights! We cant thank Catherine enough for her support.
