Safer Sleep
At The Nurture Owl Sleep Support, safer sleep is woven into every aspect of my work. While I support families with sleep challenges, I also provide guidance on evidence-based safer sleep practices that align with current national guidance, helping parents create a sleep environment that supports both restful and safe sleep. To help reduce risk and promote safer sleep, the following key recommendations should be followed:
-babies must always be placed to sleep on their back
-be placed in their own clear, flat, firm separate sleep space
-Maintain room temperature of 16-20 degrees Celsius
-Sleep baby in your room until at least 6 months old
